Welcome to Giorgio Kolaj fine art

I am a self-taught artist living in NY and painting in oil for more than 5 years. My primary focus is portraiture, but I also enjoy painting animals, landscapes and still life. I also enjoy sketching and sculpting in clay.

My work is influenced by portrait artists of the past 500 years, especially the renaissance and baroque periods. I aim to capture not only likeness but also personal nuances of the subject that bring out their personality.

Starting with my client's vision, my goal is to deliver on that vision and meet the goals for the piece. I believe that the process of creating art should be just as fulfilling as the finished piece.
